To raise funds for our local responders and as part of our commitment to providing a safer community, “Friends of The Penkridge Responders” can offer first aid courses to individuals, organisations and businesses within our area. All our instructors are volunteers and any donations or fees are used entirely to support the running of our local response team.
We are an approved independent training provider for Worksafe Training Systems and this enables us to deliver a range of HSE/QCA accredited courses – such as First Aid at Work – using our own qualified instructors and assessors who themselves have been trained by Work Safe and hold additional teaching or instructor qualifications. Please see the side panel for more details.
Courses to suit the annual CPD requirements of dental and medical centre staff are available.
Some of our courses are designed to simply familiarise people in our local communities with the basic skills of CPR and using an AED and enquiries from other charity and community groups about these are welcomed.
All our members, including qualified Community First Responders are offered the chance to gain HSE Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work, so further increasing the level of emergency care available in the community.
We also welcome the opportunity to talk to community groups about the work of Community First Responders and how they can help us to help them.
If you would like more details please email friends@padcfr.com
FAW/EFAW training is delivered by “Friends of the Penkridge Responders” on behalf of WorkSafe Training Systems, an HSE approved training organisation, HSE approval number 11/06.
